It was an amazing plane journey,in which I actually ATE the food :O cos it tasted SO SO good and didn't have that horrible smell- it was even served on plates with proper cutlery... well a proper fork and spoon at least(the knife was still plastic) I watched Wall-E (Janis had said how good it was- and I agree!) and could actually hear it properly as had posh headphones. They offered SO much alcohol... but I didn't think getting pissed was the best idea as I was supposed to be arriving safely at my hotel in Bangkok(!)... (note for Zoe- I could ask for biscuits at any time!!!) The toilets were also amazingly posh and even had flannels that I could use. The chairs lay down properly- it was SO comfortable... I actually slept for 4 hours straight!! (was planning on watching Mamma Mia when I woke up but slept far longer than I usually would...) Have a v kwl case thing now that I was given- even have an upgraded eye mask!
I also got to get off at a separate exit and used my express pass... and my baggage was there as soon as I arrived
Kristy, who I was sitting next to on the plane, was lovely and hadn't done much business travelling so we figured it out together! She had also lived in Bangkok as a kid so gave me tips on where to go. I also met a guy from Australia, who was heading to Southern Thailand... very brave!
I got a BRIGHT PINK taxi to my hotel and I think he ripped me off the equivalent of a quid but I couldn't be bothered to argue...
Breakfast buffet this morning had LOADS of pancakes...mmmm....and some strangely runny yogurt...
Anyway I think its time for me to leave the air con and brave the world outside! Planning on visiting the Grand Palace today and tomorrow I managed to book myself ona tour of the floating market... all is good atm and hopefully will continue to be as long as the group are nice...
